With a musical-ish whimsy, A Month of Sundays-Remembering Women in Jazz will sweep both you and our current day characters away into a lively, music-filled past to further explore the fictional commencement of women in jazz as well as to bridge a little known divide that will forever change the lives of two families.  A family-friendly play with a poignant and positive message, A Month of Sundays is a timeless tale of cultural and philanthropic significance that will leave you hopeful, reminiscent and begging for more!

With a talented array of cast ranging from local & regional actors to national celebrities E. Roger Mitchell, Maria Howell, & Nick Lewis from movies such as: The Color Purple, Flight, Selma, Anchorman 2, The Blind Side, Hunger Games: Catching Fire, What to Expect when you’re Expecting and Daddy’s Little Girls to TV & theatrical work such as: NCIS, The Walking Dead, The Shield, Army Wives, Revolution, Devious Maids, HBO/BET’s Bad Boys of Comedy, Comic View, Tyler Perry’s House of Payne, Meet the Browns, Jitney, Miss Evers Boys, A Cool Drink of Water, & Gem of the Ocean, you will enjoy yourself! 

Our singing talent boasts a talented pool of local legends from legendary local drummer Sonny Thornton to jazz stalwart like Maria Howell, our bevy of local, regional and national talent that will surely take your breath away!  

Since its’ first appearance at the National Black Theatre Festival in 2007, A Month of Sundays-Remembering Women in Jazz has been staged, read, previewed and performed to sold out or standing room only crowds from Winston Salem & Charlotte, NC to Spartanburg SC!
