An Evening with Robert Blocker
“Great skill and accomplishment, a measurable virtuoso bent and considerable musical sensitivity.” –Los Angeles Times
Robert Blocker, South Carolina native, Furman grad, and Dean of the Yale School of Music, began his study of piano at the age of five and played his first public recital at seven. Today, he concertizes throughout the world, and recent orchestral engagements include the Beijing Symphony Orchestra, Shanghai Symphony, Prague Chamber Orchestra, Moscow Chamber Orchestra, and Korean Symphony.
With an evening ranging from elegant Baroque pieces by Bach to the turbulent depths of Mozart and finishing with the Romantic spirit of Brahms, Blocker proves why he is an internationally renowned solo artist in this intimate Peace Chamber recital.
