Ellis: Island of Dreams
For countless immigrants between the years of 1892 and 1954, Ellis Island represented hope and prosperity. People left everything to move to America in search of a better life for themselves and their loved ones. For some, dreams came true. For others, life in a new place where everyone speaks a different language was extremely difficult.
Ellis: Island of Dreams follows the story of immigrant families traveling long distances in search of the ever-elusive American Dream. It follows their trials, joys, heartbreaks and triumphs. And most importantly, it reestablishes the understanding that we are truly a nation of immigrants.
