Paul Taylor Dance Company

Peace Concert Hall

“The greatest choreographer alive.” -The New York Times

“One of the most intelligent, stylish, and physically magnificent dance troupes we have.” -New York Magazine

With over 60 years in existence, 146 pieces created, and 500 cities visited, Paul Taylor Dance Company brings modern dance works by their celebrated choreographer to the Peace Center. Considered by many to be America’s greatest living choreographer, Paul Taylor is a founder and towering icon of America’s indigenous art form of modern dance. Taylor was awarded the National Medal of the Arts, recognized as a Kennedy Center Honors recipient, and won an Emmy award for his achievements in choreography.

The evening’s mixed rep program will include the “fiendishly clever” Book of Beasts (Village Voice), “breezy athleticism” of Cascade (Los Angeles Times), and “utterly brilliant” Syzygy (The Oregonian).
