Peace Concert Hall
STREB is made up of more than just dancers. This Brooklyn-based, groundbreaking, extreme-action dance company is comprised of action heroes - willing to put their bodies on the line to entertain and amaze audiences around the country.
Founded in 1985 in New York City by innovative choreographer Elizabeth Streb (AKA the Evel Knievel of dance), the STREB dance company is in the business of keeping audiences dangerously close to the edge of their seats. Maybe that’s because they live by the motto, “anything too safe is not action.” In STREB: Forces, the action heroes take that motto and embrace it, giving audiences a different type of dance experience. Filled with high-flying stunts, acrobatics and precision tumbling, this show feels like something straight out of an action movie. Except it isn’t. It’s live, on stage, in your face, and unlike anything you’ll ever see.
