Yeol Eum Son, silver medal winner of the 2009 Van Cliburn Piano Competition, considered “the most prestigious classical piano contest in the world” (Chicago Tribune), joins the GSO to perform Rachmaninoff’s spectacular third piano concerto.
The Greenville Symphony Orchestra and the Bob Jones University Museum & Gallery at Heritage Green have partnered for a special “Arts Day” in downtown Greenville on Sunday, March 28, 2010. From 1:00 – 3:00 p.m., the Museum &Gallery at Heritage Green will offer complimentary admission to anyone attending the Greenville Symphony Orchestra’s “Champion of the Keyboard” concert at 3:00 p.m. at The Peace Center. The M&G at Heritage Green is a satellite facility currently exhibiting “The Power of the Portrait” which showcases over 30 compelling portraits from the 15th through the 20th centuries and provides and an interactive and engaging “window” into the multi-faceted world of portraiture – a view for the whole family to explore and enjoy.
