After a hiatus from the music industry, KEM returns with an insightful collection of love ballads reflective of the inner thoughts of a man seeking to understand Intimacy, the title of his third release. Stepping out of his box, KEM who self-produced his first two CDs, Kemistry and KEM Album II, opens up creatively featuring a string orchestra; collaborating with producers; and performing two duets. Intimacy Album III features vocal and production collaborations with Jill Scott and the late legendary Motown Producer David J. Van de Pitt. For the first time, Motown Recording Artist KEM invited an outsider, Los Angeles-based producer Rex Rideout (Luther Vandross, Angie Stone), into his studios to assist with completing the CD. The result is a fuller sound and greater range of musical styles that have a greater reach and appeal to a wider audience. KEM said, “It’s a musical journey of the various types of intimacy that I believe everyone can relate to on some level.”
