Journey back in time with these amusing 20th century works. Stravinsky’s ballet and Bolcom’s comic Commedia, both with wild tarantellas and other baroque dance forms, find their roots in the Italian commedia del’ Arte tradition. Also, a sparkling overture by Italian genius Rossini is paired with the French brialliance of Poulenc’s showpiece – Concerto for Piano.
