The Carolina Youth Symphony performs Sunday, March 4th at 4:00pm in the Peace Concert Hall. This concert will feature the winners of the 25th annual CYS/TD Bank Concerto Competition. Eleanor Mayes, Piano Competition winner will perform Piano Concerto in A minor, Mvt. I – Edvard Grieg and Victoria Pan, Orchestral Competition winner, will perform Violin Concerto in E minor, Mvt. 1 – Julius Conus. Dr. Leslie W. Hicken, CYS Artistic Director, will conduct the full orchestra in works by von Weber, McBeth and Rimsky-Korsakov. The Carolina Youth Symphony Concert Orchestra, conducted by Mr. James Kilgus, will open the concert.
