Take three parts Mozart, add one part Shostakovich, and you have what we like to call, "Mostly Mozart!" Sparkling joy and dramatic revelations of Mozart's masterpieces are paired with the unusual and controversial Symphony No. 9 by the great twentieth century musical genius, Dmitri Shostakovich. Inspired by the classical style of Haydn and Mozart, Shostakovich's Symphony No. 9 boasts an exuberant energy and irresistible humor, making it the perfect companion to Mozart.
