Diavolo Dance Theatre is an internationally renowned dance company that reinvents dance, re-imagines theater, and redefines thrills. Diavolo takes movement, athletics, and daring to the extreme, creating abstract narratives about the human experience through surreal tableaux. Founded in 1992 by Jacques Heim, Diavolo has an extensive performance history in their home city of Los Angeles as well as throughout the U.S, Europe, Asia, and Latin America; in over fourteen seasons of touring.
While at the Peace Center, Diavolo will perform Fluid Infinities and their newest piece, Transit Space. Transit Space was inspired by the movement of skateboarding and created through research conducted in conjunction with an arts high school and was broadcasted on ESPN's SportsCenter. Fluid Infinities is the third installment of dance works commissioned by the Los Angeles Philharmonic. It is set to Philip Glass' Symphony No. 3.
Estimated running time: Two hours (includes intermission)
