Momix

Peace Center supporters enjoyed a reception celebrating the Peace Partners Program before attending the Momix performance Saturday evening, October 8th.  Over 600 students and familes from 5 schools and 6 agencies, such as Legacy Charter School and the Boys Home of the South, attended the Saturday and Sunday Momix performances free-of-charge.  Thanks to the generous donations through Peace Partners, many children had their first life-changing experience attending a live performance!  They were even able to interact with the dancers at talk-backs after the shows.  Also, included are a few letters written by students from AJ Whittenberg Elementary about why they wanted to attend Momix.

AJ Whittenberg Momix Event

Through the Peace Partners program, students from AJ Whittenberg attended Momix on October 9th.  Peace Center staff visited the school and gave the students a glimpse into Momix.  Each student was then asked to compose an essay about why they should see the show.  Students enjoyed learning about illusionist dancing and acting out the seasons, just as the dancers that they will see!
