Educators & Schools
We know that students learn in different ways, which is why the Peace Center proudly offers opportunities for educators to make connections with their curriculum in a creative and imagniative way - through professional development opportunities that integrate the arts. The Peace Center also provides opportunities for teachers and students to explore the arts together in workshops and master classes that bring artists into schools as well as bringing groups to the Peace Center to interact with artists before and after performances.
Youth Performance Series
The Youth Performance Series (POP!) brings students into the Peace Center for performances and events tailored to them and takes artists out to the classroom.
Peace Talk Series
The Peace Talk Series enhances enjoyment of Broadway and other select performances by engaging audiences in a conversation about a production. Peace Talks are perfect for school groups attending Broadway performances, providing a chance for students to interact directly with performers.
Professional Development Programs for Educators
Perhaps the greatest benefit for students across our state comes from Peace Center programs to educate our region’s educators.
Built around Peace Center performances, professional development events provide a setting for educators to explore effective strategies to integrate the arts into curriculum.
