Cancelled: America

Peace Concert Hall

Important Information
The America concert scheduled for Tuesday, March 17, at the Peace Center has been cancelled.

Gerry Beckley and Dewey Bunnell of America said, “In an effort to do our part to help slow the spread of the coronavirus among our fans and the country at large, the band America has made the decision to postpone shows booked for the coming weeks. We will do everything possible to reschedule when feasible. We encourage everyone to stay informed and follow the advice of the medical community to keep themselves healthy at this time.”

2020 marks the 50th anniversary of perennial classic-rock favorite America. Featuring Grammy® Award-winning lead singers, songwriters, and guitarists Gerry Beckley and Dewey Bunnell, the iconic group has amassed six certified gold and platinum albums, with their first greatest hits collection, History, hitting over four million in sales.

The group’s widely renowned singles – including “Horse With No Name,” “Sister Golden Hair,” “I Need You,” “Ventura Highway,” “Don’t Cross the River,” “Tin Man,” and “Lonely People” – were considered cornerstones of 1970s Top 40 and FM rock radio.

America’s audience continues to grow, comprising a loyal legion of first, second, and third generation fans, all bearing testament to the group’s enduring appeal and ability to transcend borders with their uplifting music and positive message.
