Outdoor Concerts: Frequently Asked Questions
It’s an outdoor show, do I still need a ticket?
You do! And they go fast so you’ll want to reserve yours as soon as you can. Tickets can be purchased online at peacecenter.org, or by calling our Box Office at 864.467.3000.
Is there Accessible Seating available?
You betchya! The lawn and Genevieve’s are both accessible and we even have an outdoor elevator for easy access! For any questions or concerns, contact our Box Office at 864.467.3000.
How do I get to The Pavilion?
The main entrance gate is located at Graham Plaza at 300 South Main Street (at the top of the stairs between the Peace Concert Hall and Gunter Theatre). There will not be an entrance gate by the Wyche Pavilion or via Broad Street.
What time should I arrive?
Gates open 90 minutes before the scheduled performance. We recommend arriving early so you have time to get a drink and get settled.
Snacks and Beverages, you say?
If you get thirsty or hungry during the show, there will be beverages and light snacks available for purchase. Sealed bottles of water are permitted, but other outside food or drink is not allowed.
Is alcohol allowed at the show?
Beer and wine are available for purchase with a photo ID and wristband, but it must be discarded when you leave the site.
Genevieve's ticketholders have access to a full bar.
Are there restrooms close by?
There are. We have clean, non-portable, public restroom facilities right next to the stage!
My dog loves listening to music, can I bring him/her?
Even though we love animals, they’re not allowed on site while shows are going on. We do, however, make an exception for trained service animals.
Can I bring blankets/folding chairs/seat cushions?
Totally! The Peace Center doesn't provide these items so you’re welcome to bring them in to make your experience more comfortable. We just ask that all chair bags be left in the car.
It looks like rain! Will the show be canceled?
It depends on the show and the severity of the weather. The best thing to do is to monitor your inbox for an email from the Peace Center and check our website for updates. You can also give our Box Office a call at 864.467.3000 to find out about individual shows.
Is there a smoking section?
No. Smoking/vaping is prohibited at the Pavilion and outdoor concerts.
I never want to forget this performance! Can I record it?
No. But we appreciate you asking first! Recording devices and professional cameras are not permitted inside the venue.
Am I able to get a refund?
Tickets are non-refundable.
Can I bring my bag in?
Bags must be 16” x 16” x 8” or smaller can be brought inside. Oversized bags will not be permitted. Oversized bag, including chair bags, will not be permitted.
Can I still enter from Dogwood Avenue?
No. The Pavilion entrance is located on the Peace Center Plaza.
Where is The Pavilion Box Office?
The Pavilion Box Office is located outside on the Peace Center Plaza near the venue entrance.
Do you have any prohibited items?
Yes. For everyone's safety and enjoyment, we ask that you leave the following items at home.
- Weapons or weapon facsimilies of any kind including, but not limited to, firearms, pepper spray, pocket/utility knives or other cutting instruments. This applies to everyone, even those with a permit. Off-duty law enforcement must check in with a law enforcement officer on duty at the Peace Center.
- Alcohol, weapons, illegal drugs or other items deemed dangerous or inappropriate
- Any outside food or beverage. Glass, metal or plastic containers of any kind, including cans, bottles and flasks
- Bags exceeding 16" x16" x 8". There are a few some exceptions.
- Diaper bags are permitted when the patron is with by an infant
- Medical bags, or any bags carrying medical items such as prescription medicine, asthma inhalers, EpiPens and other medical equipment are permitted regardless of size
- Lawn Chair Bags are not permitted at The Pavilion.
- Cameras with interchangeable lenses, audio/visual recording devices, laptops, tablets and other like devices
- Flammable liquids, fireworks, pyrotechnics, flares or other incendiary devices
- Items that may impact the guest experience including, but not limited to, laser pointers, beach balls, projectiles, balloons, flashlights, signs, flags, banners, selfie sticks, skateboards, rollerblades, bicycles/helmets, masks/face cover , noisemakers, bullhorns or air horns
- Solicitation materials of any kind
- Pets, other than service animals
Additional security restrictions may apply at the discretion of Peace Center management. Items left outside the venue doors may be discarded.
