Max Bruch: The Scottish Fantasy in E-flat major, Op. 46
Guest
Jacqueline Tso, violin
Leila Cunningham Roe Concertmaster Chair
Audiences and violinists alike have loved The Scottish Fantasy since it was first premiered in Liverpool, England in 1881. What better piece to showcase Concertmaster Jackie Tso in her first turn as soloist on the Concert Hall stage! Composer Max Bruch was inspired by the spirited and winsome folk music of the Scottish Highlands when writing this piece, and you are sure to hear it in the lilting melodies and bright dances.
