Angela Alderson

Angela Alderson began dancing at the age of four and attended the School for Creative and Performing Arts in Cincinnati, Ohio. She has trained in ballet, jazz, modern, tap dance, hip-hop, and African dance, and enjoys teaching, choreography, African dance, and African culture. Alderson founded a hip-hop dance company and acted as the choreographer, manager of artistic development, and costume designer. Simultaneously, as the assistant artistic director of an African dance company, she provided African dance instruction, choreographed, designed costumes, and staged productions. She is currently a dancer, senior choreographer, and assistant director of ZAKI African Drum & Dance Ensemble with Vaughn Newman Dance in Greenville, SC.
