Greenville Symphony Orchestra
The Greenville Symphony Orchestra’s 70th concert season presents six Masterworks concerts in the Peace Center, four Chamber Orchestra concerts presented by The Greenville News in Gunter Theatre, three Spotlight Series concerts in the Fellowship Hall of First Baptist Greenville, and an all-new, three concert Pops Series in the Peace Center.
The 2017-2018 concert season features, not one, but three guest pianists, including the Gold Medal Winner of the 2017 Van Cliburn International Piano Competition, Yekwon Sunwoo, as well as the return of Dmitri Levkovich. And making his South Carolina debut will be the “lion of the piano,” Nikolai Demidenko, with a stunning interpretation of Rachmaninoff’s Second Piano Concerto. Other orchestral favorites include an all-Beethoven concert, featuring Beethoven’s Fifth, as well as Grofé’s Grand Canyon Suite and Verdi’s Requiem.
To purchase season tickets to any of the GSO concert series, call the Peace Center Box Office at 864.467.3000.
